SLC Park, Sleep & Fly Hotels: Packages Compared

“Park, sleep and fly” combines three separate purchases: a hotel night before the flight, a place to leave the car during the trip, and transportation to the terminal. The bundle can be excellent value. It can also cost more than a normal room plus SLC economy parking if the special room rate is high or the trip extends beyond the included days.

This guide compares only terms the hotels currently publish themselves. It does not rank nightly room prices because those change by date, occupancy, cancellation policy, and loyalty status. The number that matters is the final package total for the actual trip.

The current options at a glance

All dollar figures are current published parking terms, not quotes for a hotel stay. Taxes, room rates, package premiums, cancellation terms, and extra days can change the winner.

The two packages that include up to seven days

SpringHill Suites Salt Lake City Airport

SpringHill Suites’ “Park Here, Fly There” offer includes the room, daily buffet breakfast, complimentary airport shuttle, and up to seven days of self-parking. Marriott currently lists promotional code PKF and valid stay dates through December 31, 2026.

The phrase “up to seven days” is important. A three-day trip does not create a credit for the unused four days, and an eight-day trip needs a confirmed price for the extra day. Compare the package rate with the same room under a normal rate before assigning a value to the parking.

This is the strongest fit for a family or group that benefits from an all-suite room and wants an advertised 24/7 shuttle. Reserve the shuttle rather than assuming the package automatically creates a departure time.

Courtyard Salt Lake City Airport

Courtyard’s Park Here, Fly There package also includes complimentary parking for up to seven nights and round-trip airport transportation. The standard hotel page lists the shuttle as complimentary and on request; Marriott’s official property materials advertise 24-hour service.

Courtyard does not include free breakfast, so compare the full morning cost if that matters. Its on-site Bistro is more useful for travelers who want dinner or a made-to-order meal than for someone prioritizing an included breakfast.

The package page does not publish one universal price or a clear extra-night rate. Search the package for the actual dates, then call before booking if the trip lasts more than seven nights.

Best transparent fixed parking price: Holiday Inn Airport West

Holiday Inn & Suites Airport West currently publishes park-and-fly options at $35 for five to six days and $50 for seven days. Its normal self-parking rate is $8 per day, while the airport shuttle runs from 4 a.m. to midnight.

For a seven-day trip, the published $50 parking component is $48 below SLC’s $98 economy-lot cost. That does not mean the whole stay is $48 cheaper. The room or package rate still has to be compared with a normal hotel booking, and the shuttle cutoff must fit both flights.

This is the easiest option to evaluate because the hotel publishes concrete multi-day amounts. Confirm the final total and parking dates in the reservation before paying.

Hotels publishing a daily park-and-fly rate

DoubleTree: $8 per day

DoubleTree Salt Lake City Airport lists long-term parking at $8 per day, the lowest daily rate in this hotel set. It also has a complimentary airport shuttle and a full restaurant, although the official page does not publish shuttle hours clearly enough for a tight flight plan.

Seven parking days total $56 at the published rate, versus $98 in SLC economy. Ask whether a qualifying hotel stay is required, how the car is registered, and what happens if the return flight is delayed by a day.

Hampton Inn & Suites: $10 per day

Hampton Inn & Suites Salt Lake City Airport publishes Park and Fly at $10 per day and includes hot breakfast. Its official page confirms a complimentary airport shuttle but does not clearly publish the operating window.

Seven days total $70 before the room. That is below airport economy, but the shuttle hours and parking reservation process need a direct call.

Tru by Hilton: $12 per day

Tru by Hilton Salt Lake City Airport lists Park and Travel at $12 per day alongside a free 24-hour airport shuttle. Seven days total $84, $14 below the airport economy benchmark.

The gap is modest enough that package-room pricing can easily decide the result. Tru makes more sense when its room rate is competitive and the 24-hour shuttle removes the cost or risk of a separate ride.

Homewood Suites: $15 per day

Homewood Suites Salt Lake City Airport lists Park and Fly at $15 per day. That is $1 more than SLC economy parking, so it is not a parking-only bargain. Its value comes from combining a hotel stay, full kitchen, free breakfast, and an advertised 24-hour shuttle.

Seven parking days total $105, compared with $98 at the airport economy lot. Choose Homewood because the room and transfer fit the trip, not because the published daily parking rate wins by itself.

The calculation that actually decides it

Compare these two totals:

Hotel package: special package room rate + taxes + parking beyond the included days + any shuttle backup.

Booked separately: normal room rate + taxes + separate parking total + transport between the hotel and parking lot, if needed.

For example, seven days in the airport economy lot currently costs $98. A hotel package including seven days saves money only if its premium over the normal room rate is less than the separate parking and transfer cost it replaces.

Do not compare the package to parking alone when the hotel night was optional. If the traveler would normally drive straight to the airport on departure day, the entire room cost is incremental. Park-and-fly is most compelling when an overnight was already necessary because of distance, weather, or a very early flight.

Package parking is not airport parking

Hotel lots have different operating terms from SLC’s own facilities. Before leaving the keys or walking away from the car, confirm:

• The exact lot or row designated for long-term vehicles.
• Whether the hotel keeps the key.
• Whether the lot is monitored, fenced, covered, or simply outdoor parking.
• How the vehicle and license plate are registered.
• Whether in-and-out privileges exist during the trip.
• The charge for an extra day after a delayed return.
• Any maximum stay or vehicle-size restriction.

Do not infer security from a hotel brand. SLC’s official parking terms also state that vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk; the same practical caution applies anywhere a car is stored for days.

Match the shuttle to both flights

A parking discount is not useful if the return flight lands after the hotel’s last shuttle. SpringHill, Courtyard, Tru, and Homewood advertise round-the-clock service. Holiday Inn publishes a 4 a.m.–midnight window. DoubleTree and Hampton confirm complimentary transportation but require a call for dependable hours.

Use the hotel shuttle guide to compare the operating windows, then call the property before choosing a nonrefundable package. Ask about ski bags or other oversized luggage as well.

When airport economy is still the better answer

Use SLC economy parking when no hotel night is needed, the trip extends well beyond the package allowance, the hotel’s shuttle schedule is uncertain, or the traveler values an airport-operated 24-hour shuttle and a known parking process over a modest saving.

Before booking: the park-and-fly checklist

• Is this the special package rate, or only a standard room?
• How many parking days are included, counting departure and return correctly?
• What does each additional day cost?
• Does the shuttle cover both flight times?
• Is breakfast open before the outbound shuttle?
• Where will the car be stored, and does the hotel keep the key?
• What is the cancellation policy for the package rate?
• Is the final total lower than a normal room plus separate parking?

Save the confirmation showing the parking dates and package name. A generic room receipt is not proof that long-term parking was included.
