Four hotels near Salt Lake City Airport advertise free 24-hour shuttles: SpringHill Suites, Homewood Suites, Tru by Hilton, and Courtyard. We rechecked those published hours on September 5, 2026. For a flight landing late or a departure before dawn, they are a useful starting shortlist.

Our first comparison would be SpringHill Suites and Homewood Suites if extra room space matters. Add Tru and Courtyard when comparing the total room price for your dates. These are recommendations based on published amenities and shuttle coverage; we have not personally tested these transfers.

A 24-hour operating window still requires coordination. Confirm the pickup procedure, vehicle capacity, and the hotel-to-airport departure you need. Other hotels below have shorter service windows or require a call to establish their hours.

“24-hour” still does not promise that a van departs every few minutes. It means service is advertised throughout the day. A shared hotel shuttle may wait for another guest, serve more than one property, or require a scheduled departure. Build a time margin even when the operating window covers the flight.

The four hotels advertising 24-hour service

SpringHill Suites Salt Lake City Airport

SpringHill Suites advertises a complimentary 24/7 airport shuttle and labels reservations as required. That makes it one of the clearest choices for a flight outside the 4 a.m.–midnight window, provided the ride is actually arranged rather than assumed.

The property also includes hot breakfast and all-suite rooms. Breakfast hours may not cover a very early departure, so treat the shuttle and breakfast as separate scheduling questions.

Homewood Suites Salt Lake City Airport

Homewood Suites states that its complimentary shuttle operates 24 hours. The hotel is within three miles of SLC and adds full kitchens and free breakfast, making it useful for families or travelers staging a longer Utah trip.

Hilton’s page does not turn “24 hours” into a published frequency. Call after baggage claim and ask the front desk when the next pickup will reach the terminal.

Tru by Hilton Salt Lake City Airport

Tru also explicitly advertises a free 24-hour airport shuttle. Its lighter-service format includes breakfast but not the suite kitchens at Homewood or the full restaurant at DoubleTree.

That makes Tru a straightforward overnight choice when the transfer window is the primary requirement. Confirm whether the van is on demand or follows a departure pattern on the travel date.

Courtyard Salt Lake City Airport

Courtyard lists a complimentary round-trip shuttle on request, and Marriott’s official property materials advertise 24-hour service. “On request” is the operational phrase: use the published hotel number rather than expecting a continuously circling bus.

Courtyard has an on-site Bistro for paid breakfast and dinner. It does not include free breakfast, a distinction that matters when comparing it with the other three round-the-clock options.

The two clear 4 a.m.–midnight shuttles

Hyatt Place Salt Lake City Airport

Hyatt Place publishes complimentary shuttle hours from 4 a.m. through midnight and tells guests to contact the front desk to arrange pickup and drop-off. That window covers many early departures and normal evening arrivals, but not a flight that reaches the curb after midnight.

Be conservative with the cutoff. A scheduled landing at 11:30 p.m. can become a post-midnight baggage-claim exit after a delay. If that would strand the plan, use a property advertising 24-hour service or price a backup ride.

Holiday Inn & Suites Salt Lake City-Airport West

Holiday Inn & Suites Airport West publishes the same 4 a.m.–midnight window every day. It has an on-site restaurant and explicit park-and-fly pricing, which can make it a better total package for a traveler leaving a car.

For a 4 a.m. shuttle, reserve the departure at check-in. The first operating hour and the first guaranteed seat are not necessarily the same thing.

La Quinta’s split schedule

La Quinta has the most specific schedule and the easiest one to misunderstand. Wyndham publishes service every 45 minutes from 4 a.m. to 11:35 a.m., followed by a break, then another window from 4 p.m. to 11:35 p.m.

That means no published shuttle around lunchtime or through the afternoon gap, and no coverage after the final night run. A room that is cheaper by $20 may not be cheaper after adding a rideshare because the flight lands at 1 p.m. Compare the whole airport-to-hotel plan.

Free shuttle, but call for the hours

The official pages for DoubleTree, Hampton Inn & Suites, and Residence Inn confirm complimentary airport transportation but do not publish a dependable operating window on the pages checked for this guide.

That is not evidence that the shuttles have bad hours. It means the website does not answer the scheduling question well enough to build a flight plan. Call before booking, ask for the first and last run on the exact day of week, and ask whether service is scheduled or on demand.

These properties may still win for other reasons: DoubleTree has a full restaurant, Hampton includes hot breakfast, and Residence Inn has full kitchens. The missing public schedule is simply a verification step.

Where to meet a hotel shuttle at SLC

SLC Airport directs hotel-transportation passengers to the ground level of the terminal between columns 1B and 5B. After collecting checked luggage:

1. Call the hotel and say that the group is ready at the terminal.
2. Confirm the exact column or pickup zone.
3. Ask for the shuttle name, color, or property branding.
4. Ask for an estimated arrival time before ending the call.

Do not walk to the rideshare zone unless the hotel specifically directs you there. The airport lists hotel transportation separately from app-based Uber and Lyft pickup.

Planning the return to SLC

For an early flight, work backward from when you need to enter the terminal. For example, if your airline asks you to arrive at 4 a.m., a shuttle whose first departure is 4 a.m. will arrive too late. Ask for a departure that allows for loading, the drive, and any other hotel stops.

If landing after midnight, confirm which hotel night to book and notify the front desk of your late arrival. A room booked for that calendar day’s usual afternoon check-in may not be available when you arrive in the early morning.

The hotel-to-airport ride is easier to control. Reserve it at check-in, not on the morning of departure. Ask whether the van serves multiple properties and how long the full loop normally takes. Then work backward from the airline’s recommended terminal-arrival time, not the flight’s departure time.

A family with ski bags needs more loading time and more vehicle capacity than one traveler with a carry-on. Tell the front desk about oversized luggage when reserving the shuttle; do not make the driver discover it at the curb.

When a rideshare backup is worth planning

Keep a backup in mind when the landing is close to the shuttle cutoff, the hotel does not publish hours, severe weather could slow the van, or the first morning run leaves no margin for check-in and security.

The free shuttle should reduce the trip cost, not become a single point of failure. If a missed departure would be expensive, price the hotel and a possible rideshare together before choosing the room.

Does a free shuttle include parking while I travel?

Check the room or package terms separately. Shuttle service does not establish permission to leave a car after checkout. Compare included days and extra-day charges in the park, sleep and fly guide.

Can I rely on breakfast before an early flight?

Ask when breakfast starts on your departure day. An included breakfast has little value if you need to leave before it opens. Ask whether a takeaway option is available, and plan separately if it is not.
